Aphelion Capital About

About

Aphelion Capital is a proprietary trading firm. The book we keep coming back to is Peter Bernstein’s Against the Gods.

The Storm on the Sea of Galilee, Rembrandt, 1633. Stolen from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in 1990 and never recovered. The museum still hangs the empty frame.

Most of what we do is still counting.

Pascal’s arithmetical triangle, 1654, the year he and Fermat solved the problem of points.

We size every position so that no single loss can decide the firm’s future.

After Francis Galton’s quincunx of 1873.

Rembrandt painted himself into the boat, one hand on the rigging and the other holding his cap. The money at risk is ours.
